Launched in 2007 by Bill Barton and Patty Perreira, the former president and vice president of design at Oliver Peoples respectively, the duo is the driving force behind Barton Perreira, whose dedication to pure luxury reflects an approach that redefines style and elegance, with a focus on evolution in the process.

After patiently looking for the right location and partner, the brand’s first flagship store opened in 2016 in the Upper East Side, off of Madison Avenue. The store serves as an extension of the LA-based brand, and is intended to provide customers the best retail experience that mirrors the brand philosophy.

In addition to its range of collections of men’s and women’s optical and sunglass styles, the store carries its new brand Allied Metal Works. Featuring stainless steel mixed with Japanese acetates, Bill Barton, CEO of Barton Perreira, explains, “it’s very different from Barton Perreira, but it definitely has Patty Perreira’s DNA. Very fresh and progressive in design and the combining of materials.”

As for what is trending this season, “well it’s sunglass season, and we have a few amazing combination frames that are very special,” comments Bill, noting that they have added two base mirrored lenses to several styles in the current and the newest collection. “Our collection is very diverse and it’s hard to say what the best style is, but each season we bring out a new collection that energizes our staff and customers!”
